Multi-Company Cohort
Three live sessions for CFOs and finance leaders who are ready to use Claude on real work.
Most finance leaders get access to Claude and then nothing changes. People experiment for a week, hit a wall, and go back to doing things the old way. This program fixes that, in three sessions, built around the finance workflows you actually run.
Hands-on. Cohort-based. Finance-specific.
Each session is 90 minutes, held one week apart, and built around finance workflows: close, reporting, FP&A, board prep, AP/AR, and audit support. You work in Claude while we work through the material together. By the end of session three, you have a working setup, a prompt library, and at least one recurring process that runs faster than it did before.

Detailed Agenda:
Session 1 May 26
Claude Fundamentals
The foundation. How Claude works and how to make it work for you.
90 minutes · Tuesday, May 26 · 9:00 am PT / 11:00 am CT / 12:00 pm ET

Before the session: You will receive a short video and a setup checklist. By the time you join, your account is configured and you are ready to work.
Claude Chat: Interface and Core Capabilities
A quick orientation to the Claude interface, what it can do, how conversations work, and where the limits are. The goal is to make sure everyone starts from the same place.
Building Custom Instructions for Your Role
Claude can be pre-loaded with context about how you work: your preferred formats, your terminology, your review standards. We build a custom instruction set together during the session. You leave with one ready to use.
What a Good Prompt Looks Like
The structure behind prompts that get precise, usable results: context, role, format, and constraints. We work through finance-specific examples and each participant builds a personal prompt library they can use immediately.
Outputs: Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, and Artifacts
Claude can produce more than text. Formatted Word documents, PDFs, PowerPoint files, and connected artifacts directly from a conversation, and when each format makes sense for finance work.
Deep Research
Using Claude to research a company, a market, a regulation, or a competitor from public sources. We run a live exercise and cover how to evaluate what comes back.
Validating Outputs
Claude is not always right. We build the habit of output validation into every exercise: what to check, how to check it, and when human review is non-negotiable. Anything going to the board, auditors, or regulators gets reviewed.
Governance and Compliance
What belongs in Claude and what does not. Data safety for finance teams, what "not for training" means in practice, and how to set boundaries your whole team can follow.
Closing Exercise: AI Usage Policy
Everyone runs a prompt together. We build or refine a practical AI usage policy.
You Leave With
A personal prompt library · Custom instructions configured for your role · A validated output checklist · A draft AI usage policy
Session 2 — June 2
Claude in Your Tools
Moving Claude into the tools your team already works in.
90 minutes · Tuesday, June 2 · 9:00 am PT / 11:00 am CT / 12:00 pm ET
Session 1 was Claude in a browser tab. Session 2 puts Claude inside the tools your team uses every day, and goes deeper on what Claude can actually build.
Claude in Excel
Formula generation, data cleanup, scenario modeling, and commentary drafting without leaving the spreadsheet. We work through a month-end variance analysis and a budget-vs-actual schedule from start to finish.
Claude in PowerPoint
How to use Claude to build slide narratives from structured data. The focus is on getting board-ready language out of raw numbers quickly.
Claude in Chrome
Using Claude directly in your browser across any web-based tool. Drafting, summarizing, and analyzing content without switching tabs. Practical use cases for finance: summarizing documents, drafting responses, researching on the fly.
Artifacts: Interactive Dashboards, Apps, and More
This is where Claude stops being a writing tool and starts being a build tool. Interactive dashboards, mini-apps, calculators, and data visualizations you can create directly in a conversation. Live examples built from finance data.
Cowork: The Desktop Layer
Introduction to Cowork, how it differs from Claude chat, what it can do with your local files and folders, and where it fits into a finance workflow. We use it live so you leave with a working setup.
You Leave With
Claude active in at least one tool you use daily · A clear picture of the artifact capability · A working Cowork setup
Session 3 June 9
Automation, MCP, and Team Adoption
Scaling beyond yourself.
90 minutes · Tuesday, June 9 · 9:00 am PT / 11:00 am CT / 12:00 pm ET
Sessions 1 and 2 built personal productivity. Session 3 is about making Claude work for your whole team, and making it run without you in the room for every task.
Claude Cowork Deep Dive
What Cowork can do that Claude chat cannot. Working with local files, automating file-based tasks, and building workflows that run on your desktop. We build something together during the session.
MCP Connections: What They Are and How to Enable One
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how Claude connects to external systems, your ERP, your data sources, your reporting tools. We cover what is actually possible, how to enable a connection, and work through one live example as a group so you can see exactly how it works.
Scheduled Tasks and Agentic Workflows
Claude can run tasks on a schedule and handle multi-step workflows with minimal manual input. What this looks like in practice for finance: automated report prep, exception flagging, recurring summaries. A demo and a framework of where the guardrails need to be.
Team Implementation
How to roll Claude out across a finance team rather than just using it yourself. Shared prompt libraries, collaborative projects, access management, and how to build workflows your team can actually follow. What good looks like at 30, 60, and 90 days.
Closing: 30-Day Team Adoption Plan
We close by building a practical 30-day plan. What to set up in week one, what to hand off in week two, and how to know if it is actually working.
You Leave With
A working MCP connection · A documented agentic workflow · A 30-day team adoption plan
